FEBRUARY 2010, Hong Kong ParknShop Australian Promotion
Australian Food Promotion at ParknShop Hong Kong (PnS) will be held after Chinese New Year i.e. February 2010 for 3 weekends commencing from Friday & end on Thursday. The promotion will include fresh (seafood, meat, fruit & vegetable) and ambient at 26-50 stores (min 26 stores). In the upcoming promotion, ParknShop is looking for 200-300 new products with strong interest on fresh, snacks, dairy & baby food.
Hong Kong’s new labelling requirements and regulations as from July 1 2010 - this is important information for exporters of packaged food products to Hong Kong.
NB For interested products, samples will be delivered to ParknShop consolidator EasyChef in Melbourne.

For 2010 Department of Agriculture and Food with the WA Trade Office Dubai has booked a WA Food and Beverage Stand for companies to display their products (shelf stable) at a cost of $550 for attendees and $660 if unable to attend. Alcohol would not be included.

WA Govt Support
·WA Government will support the market with a joint WA stand supported by DAFWA and the WA Government Tokyo Office and attended by a WA Government Office staff member.

·WA Government will organise and cover the cost of freight of food and beverage samples to Japan and return freight (NB Companies' products will be checked to see that they meet Japan custom requirements and no food products will be returned to Perth).
·Additionally, DAFWA can assist to organise meetings for WA company representatives with suitable buyers. (NB There may be a cost for interpreters for these meetings if the WA Government representatives are not available).
·Companies can book an individual booth (approx cost $7000) or be part of the Western Australian Food and Beverage booth at a cost of $550 for attendees and $660 for non-attendees.

Remember that even if you are not attending FOODEX Japan to advise if your company products are being exhibited (if with distributor/agent) so that your company information is included in the WA catalogue for marketing.

Food and beverage including wine A Western Australian pavilion has been reserved for companies to book an individual booth estimated cost for a 3m x 3m constructed booth (AUD$5,000 approx) as part of the Australia National Pavilion package.
